Sandip Chatterjee
has earned the first position for the Hindustani Classical
Instrumental music (best instrumentalist award)in the all India Music and
dance Competition organized by “Sangeetayan” , 1986,
New Delhi.
He is also the
winner of the “President of India Award”. He secured
the first position in Hindustani instrumental classical music
competition organized by All India Radio, New Delhi, 1990.
Recently Sandip has
awarded by “Jadubhatta Award” by Salt Lake Cultural
Association.
He was recognized by
Pandit V. Balsara as A grade artist of song and drama
division of Govt. of India.
He has also got National
Scholarship from Govt. of India, for the year 2000-01.
Except that he has
got many awards from different organizations in different parts of
India and abroad.
Recently he has received 'Sangeet Kalaratna Award' by Guru Balaram Lal of Patna.
